Research Traineeship Ph.D. Fellows in Ethical AI

will take coursework in ethical AI, and may participate in research
projects such as Good Systems core research projects in Smart Cities,
Racial Justice, Living and Working with Robots, and Smart Hand Tools, as
well as Texas Robotics projects in Short-to-Medium-range Autonomous
Delivery Systems, Building-Wide Intelligence, RoboCup at Home, and
Human-Centered Service Robots. The Ph.D. Fellowship includes full funding
(stipend, tuition, and health benefits) from NSF for two years and funding
from UT-Austin for up to three more years (the NSF Fellowship are
restricted to US Citizens and Permanent Residents, but all prospective
applicants are invited to apply for admission to our respective doctoral
programs). Students will take interdisciplinary coursework including an
socio-technical blend of courses across architecture, computer science,
engineering, and information studies. Please apply to any or all of the
