This is a 9-month, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Business Information Systems and Analytics. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent competency utilizing innovative pedagogical techniques to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Business/Data Analytics, Information Systems, & Information Technology. Candidates will be expected to teach face-to-face and online classes. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to- scholarly activities including publishing in high quality peer-reviewed academic journals, articles in industry outlets, grantsmanship, etc.; service activities including student advising, student mentoring and recruitment, corporate engagement, curriculum development, engaging in accreditation procedures, other service to the department as opportunities arise, service to Deese College of Business and Economics, N.C. A&T university, and to professional organizations.

The Department of Business Information Systems and Analytics currently offers degrees in Business Information Technology and Management with a Management Information Systems concentration. The department is on track to introduce a BS in Business Analytics and an interdisciplinary MS degree in Data and Business Analytics to be housed in the department. The Department of Business Information Systems and Analytics is housed in the Willie A. Deese College of Business and Economics (COBE) at North Carolina A&T State University (NCAT). Located in Greensboro, North Carolina, NCAT is a public, doctoral/research, 1890 land-grant university. The University is a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina System. All programs in the Deese College of Business and Economics are accredited by AACSB. The Accounting program holds the AASCB accounting accreditation. Since its establishment in 1971, the College of Business and Economics has grown to become one of the University's largest academic units and has established a national reputation for excellence. This focus on excellence resulted in initial accreditation of the College's academic programs by AACSB in 1979. It became the first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in North Carolina to achieve this recognition of quality. In 1986, the Accounting Program was the first HBCU in the nation to achieve AACSB accounting accreditation. NCAT is classified as a Carnegie R2 (Doctoral University of Higher Research Activity). NCAT is the largest public HBCU in the nation. NCAT is a top producer of engineering and accounting degrees at the undergraduate level awarded to African Americans and is well known and highly regarded for STEM.

--Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Business/Data Analytics, Decision Sciences, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from at the time of appointment. Experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in Analytics and Information Systems/Technology is required.

--Preferred Qualifications
A strong foundation in business applications is preferred. Demonstrate the potential to establish a research record through publications in refereed journals, national and international conferences, book chapters, and other scholarly activities.  Special consideration will be given to candidates with teaching and professional experience in business/data analytics area.
