*Scope of the Book*

The book shows how emerging ICT adoption by society stakeholders, e.g.,
enterprises, public administration, local and national governments,
healthcare and social organizations, universities, schools, and households
can help enhance environmental, economic, social, cultural, and political
sustainability. It offers a multidisciplinary analysis of the synergy
between ICT adoption and sustainability, both from the perspective of
theory and practice. Including experts from different scientific
disciplines, various countries and across different generations makes an
interesting contribution to the debate on making sustainability by emerging
ICT. This book intends to bring all the latest approaches, concepts,
methodologies, techniques and tools related to the contribution of ICT to
sustainability in a single volume to answer the questions:

   - How can the adoption of emerging ICT by society stakeholders influence
   sustainability?
   - How emerging ICT can be adopted by society stakeholders to enhance
   sustainability?
   - What competences do society stakeholders need to adopt emerging ICT
   for sustainability?
   - What are the critical success factors of adopting emerging ICT to
   enhance sustainability?; and
   - How the contribution of emerging ICT adoption to sustainability can be
   measured?
