Deadline for Nominations: June 10, 2022 Submit nominations here: https://aisnet.org/page/CallforNomEICofMISQE

Gabriele Piccoli's term as Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of the MIS Quarterly Executive (MISQE) expires December 31, 2022. We are in the process of seeking his replacement.

MISQE is a peer-reviewed journal published four times a year by the Association for Information. As the AIS journal focused on practice-oriented research, MISQE seeks and publishes papers based on in-depth research that provide rich stories, unique insights, and useful conceptual frameworks for information systems practice. MISQE's target audience includes both practitioners and researchers - so that MISQE can stimulate ongoing discussions at the intersection of research and practice - but our primary focus is research that is immediately relevant and useful for current and future Information Systems leaders. Further information about MISQE is available from the journal's website (https://aisel.aisnet.org/misqe/).

This is a three-year appointment beginning in January of 2023. Candidates should be familiar with the Journal as demonstrated by contributions as author, reviewer, and previous or current editorial board membership. Previous senior editorial experience is desirable as is experience working directly with, and writing for, a practicing audience.

The EIC of the journal, working with the MISQE editorial boards is responsible for attracting authors, developing those authors to the unique MISQE mission, selecting, and recruiting members of the editorial boards, managing the flow of submissions, overseeing preparation and production of those papers, evolving the journal's content (e.g., via special issues and editorial statements) and interfacing with AIS and the AIS Vice President of Publications.
According to the By-Laws of AIS, a nominating committee comprised of the current EIC, the AIS VP of Publications and one representative from each of the three AIS regions has been appointed to conduct the search for a new EIC. Members of the nominating committee are Gabe Piccoli (current EIC), Mary Lacity, Federico Pigni, Chris Wagner, and Rajiv Kohli (AIS VP of Publications and Chair).

Selected candidates will be interviewed soon after the deadline for nominations. A single nominee will be proposed by this nominating committee to the AIS Council for consideration. All AIS members are invited to nominate candidate(s). Self-nominations are welcome.
