School of Management and Economics (SME) at The Chinese University of Hong
Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) welcomes applications for faculty positions

*ABOUT CUHK-SHENZHEN*
The university was founded in March 2014 in accordance with the Regulations
of People’s Republic of China on Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running
Schools upon the approval of the National Ministry of Education. With the
adherence to the philosophy of modern education and academic system of The
Chinese University of Hong Kong, CUHK-Shenzhen is committed to providing
top-quality higher education that features an integration of the East and
the West and fostering an enriching research environment. It is
CUHK-Shenzhen’s mission to cultivate innovative talents with global
perspectives, Chinese cultural traditions and the sense of social
responsibility.

Over the past seven years, the university has established seven schools,
namely the School of Management and Economics, the School of Science and
Engineering, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of
Life and Health Sciences, the School of Data Science, the School of
Medicine and the School of Music, offering 22 undergraduate programs and 25
postgraduate programs. The university’s undergraduate admission score has
been the highest among universities in Guangdong Province for the last six
consecutive years. Liberal arts students admitted normally rank within the
top 1% of candidates in most provinces and cities, and science students
admitted rank within the top 2%.


*ABOUT SME*
Established in 2014, SME pursues high academic and teaching standards.
Spearheading a globally-oriented environment for business education and
research in China, SME links China's substantial educational and research
resources with the world. Strategically located in Shenzhen, SME offers
world-class business programs for the advancement of students'
understanding of economics and management with the vision to contribute to
the construction of the first-class center of scholarship in management and
economics as well as the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater
Bay Area.

SME has made substantial progress since its establishment. The school now
has 108 full-time faculty members in seven academic areas including
accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing, operations
management, and information systems; and offers six undergraduate
programmes, six full-time postgraduate programmes, three part-time
postgraduate programmes, and two PhD programmes. In this academic year, SME
has in total 2,845 undergraduate students, 1,337 postgraduate students and
33 PhD students.


*SALARY AND BENEFITS*
Salary is market-based and competitive, commensurate with experience and
academic accomplishments. Various subsidies and funds from the government
and the university are available for application.


*OTHER SUPPORTS*
(1) Visiting scholar: can start as visiting scholar;
(2) Research: generous research grants are available; comprehensive
databases, research (teaching) assistants and administrative secretary are
equipped;
(3) Housing: on-campus staff residential apartments and government housing;
(4) Other: children’s schools (affiliated kindergarten, primary school and
junior middle school), assist spouse in employment, and provide
supplementary commercial insurance.
