As the chair of Track 3: Digital Futures, our team at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Surrey are looking forward to host at the Surrey 2023 Conference, Guildford, UK.
Under the theme of "Bringing Hospitality, Tourism, Transport and Events Back for Good", We invite contributions in the following six scientific tracks:
*            Track 1. Human Flourishing
*            Track 2. The Environment
*            Track 3. Digital Futures
*            Track 4. Education
*            Track 5. Business and Policy
*            Track 6. Competitiveness

In addition, conference attendees can look forward to activities from five further Special Tracks:


  *   Postgraduate Research
  *   Gender, Entrepreneurship and Social Policy
  *   Human Rights and Major Events
  *   Sustainable Aviation
  *   Open Research

Important Dates:

  *   Oral Presentation (500 words): Due date 6 January 2023 (outcome by 3 February 2023)
  *   Poster Presentation (500 words): Due date 10 February (outcome by 24 February 2023)

Award and Publication Opportunities:
We are delighted to launch the David Airey Award for Best Contribution in Tourism, to recognise an outstanding contribution in the extended abstract submission. Additionally, editors from the Journal of Sustainable Tourism will review the abstracts submitted to the conference and will provide advice to early career researchers as to the readiness to publish of the work presented. The authors of the top 10 abstracts will be invited to submit their papers to JoST with a fast-track process. At the conclusion of the conference, we aim to produce The Surrey Good Bucket List, a list of targets and accomplishments that we set to achieve in the next 5-10 years, along with guiding principles for what constitutes good for hospitality, tourism, transport and events. To optimise the impact of the conference, the consensus will be developed into academic papers and policy briefs.
