Dear colleagues,

Electronic Markets’ December 2022 issue (32/4) includes the four special
issues on “Standardization for platform ecosystems”, “Smart cities - Smart
governance models for future cities”, “Trust in AI for electronic markets”,
and “Explainable and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (XAI)”. The 16
research papers are introduced in the prefaces of each special issue. In
addition, issue 32/4 comprises 16 general research papers, which are framed
in the issue’s editorial. All articles are available via SpringerLink,
twenty-seven of them as open access.
