We invite you to submit your paper to the Location Intelligence Research Track at the upcoming HICSS 2024<http://hicss.org/> conference, in the beautiful city of Honolulu, Hawaii. With its stunning beaches, warm tropical climate and rich cultural history, Honolulu is a perfect destination for this event, and we hope you can be part of this highly prestigious conference in the field of information, computer, and system sciences, providing a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas, insights, and best practices in the field.

Minitrack Description:

Sustainable and Innovative Location Analytics Approaches Toward Workforce Development - the Minitrack aims to explore geospatial analytics topics, including geospatial methods, geospatial tools, geo-visualization, artificial intelligence, big data, geo-medicine, public policies, cybersecurity, governance, and more. Authors are encouraged to link their research to sustainable and innovative approaches for education, training, competencies, workforce development, and curricular innovation. We welcome applied, conceptual, theoretical, technological, methodological, and empirical contributions that employ various methods, such as empirical research, teaching cases, design-oriented research, case studies, and action research.

Topics of Interest (not limited to):

*         Geospatial methods and tools for workforce development

*         Geo-visualization and location analytics in education and training

*         Leveraging Geo-AI and big data in talent management

*         Geo-medicine and public policies for healthcare education and training

*         Teaching & applying best practices for Cybersecurity and Governance in location analytics

*         Novel approaches to curriculum development in location analytics

Submission Guidelines:
Authors are invited to submit original research papers that have not been published or submitted elsewhere. Only papers with completed research will be considered for this conference. All submissions will undergo a double-blind review process by a panel of experts in the field and accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Papers should be submitted through the conference submission system<https://hicss.hawaii.edu/authors/> and adhere to the conference formatting guidelines. The maximum length for papers is 10 pages, including references and appendices. At least one of the authors is required to attend in person and present at the conference.

Important Dates:

*         Full paper submission deadline: June 15, 2023

*         Notification of acceptance: August 17, 2023

*         Final manuscript (for accepted paper) submission deadline: September 22, 2023

*         Conference registration for at least one of the authors: October 1, 2023
