Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

The UC Business School, University of Canterbury invites applications for the fixed term position of Teaching Lecturer.

This position supports the Information Systems and Business Data Analytics programmes in the UC Business School. In this position, you will join the IS team in working together to support student learning through high quality teaching and developing teaching resources. You will teach into undergraduate and taught-masters courses.

Persons with teaching expertise in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: management of information systems, cybersecurity management, data management and analytics.

The role involves actively contributing to the Department of Accounting and Information Systems through high quality teaching in Information Systems subjects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, curriculum development, course organisation, engaging with external stakeholders, and departmental service.

You will have a Master degree or PhD in Information Systems or a related discipline. You will be a team player, self-organised and enthusiastic in supporting students. High quality teaching, and organisation and communication skills are essential for this position.

and be able and willing to contribute to Department, wider University, and professional service activities.

This role sits within the Academic Staff, Associated Staff and Academic Support Staff Collective Agreement. The following salary scale applies: Lecturer in Teaching and Admin pay scale (1.01 - $64,302 to 4.04 - $113,749)
