The Business Information Systems Discipline at the University of Sydney Business School invites applicants for Senior Lecturer (Education Focused) Position in Business Information Systems

Education-focused roles are a specialised category of academic engagement reserved for talented educators with a passion for, and demonstrated excellence in, pedagogical practice and design. In this role you will be expected to make a significant contribution to teaching and learning practice, design and evaluation within the program and will be on a trajectory towards leadership in educational design and delivery. The majority of your contribution will be within education, the role is minimum 20% research, 10% professional and community engagement and maximum of 70% teaching.

Your key responsibilities will be to:


  *   design and deliver innovative curricula for undergraduate, postgraduate management and executive audiences,
  *   support the school's Strategy in the provision of new emerging forms of life-long learning offerings and responsible management education
  *   develop and maintain industry collaborations to inform and enrich curricula
  *   maintain a record of achievement in research and scholarly activity relating to Business Information Systems or Business Information Systems education
  *   support the School's expanding program of professional and industry research collaboration, with a focus on the school's core research areas and strategic goals
  *   contribute actively to the governance and service activities within the Discipline, School and University.

We wish to appoint an Education-Focused Senior Lecturer in Business Information Systems who:


  *   has completed a PhD (highly desirable) in information systems or a closely related discipline
  *   can demonstrate teaching excellence with innovative approaches at undergraduate and graduate levels.
  *   has Advance HE fellowship or an equivalent educational qualification
  *   has demonstrable experience in innovative Business Information Systems curriculum design, development and delivery; proficiency in IT project management, agile methodology, enterprise systems, business process management, and/or business applications of AI is preferred
  *   are experienced in program management and leading curriculum innovation
  *   proven familiarity with the industry or practices in work-integrated learning (preferred)
  *   demonstrate the capability to encourage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds and promote student equity, diversity, and inclusion endeavours.
