This is a reminder that the deadline for tenure track opening at Bentley University is Oct. 31, 2023. Special consideration will be given to those candidates who work in the areas of Fintech, AI, or a related domain.

The Department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Bentley University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level starting in July 2024. A qualified candidate should have an excellent record of accomplishments in both research and teaching appropriate for the candidate's level of experience. The selected applicant will be expected to contribute to the CIS department's mission of educating technically adept information systems professionals and advancing the state of research at the intersection of business and digital technologies.

The Bentley CIS department is one of the largest IS departments among U.S. academic institutions. The department offers degree programs at the undergraduate level and contributes courses to several other programs at Bentley, including the undergraduate general education core, the graduate analytics core, MBA core, and MBA concentrations. Areas of teaching include business intelligence and analytics, applied artificial intelligence, data and information management, business process management, cybersecurity, FinTech, Health IT, IS strategy, organizational and societal impact of IT, enterprise architecture, computing and communication infrastructure, web & mobile technologies, NLP, application development, and IT project management. The CIS faculty's scholarship encompasses several areas of information systems and computer science, and their research receives external funding and appears in leading publication outlets. Minimum Qualifications:

The department is seeking applicants with a PhD in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and we expect the candidate's PhD to be completed by Sept. 1, 2024.

Special consideration will be given to those candidates who work in the areas of Fintech, AI, or a related domain.

A letter of interest
A teaching statement, which should include a description of how the faculty member has demonstrated or intends to create and support an inclusive classroom environment.
A list of up to five papers
A list of three references (names and contact information). Bentley will contact these confidential references for those candidates moving forward in the process.
