A special interest group of the Association for Information Systems
Dear SIGADIT members,
Please accept my thanks for your support during the past academic year!
With your help, SIGADIT demonstrated its strength as a special interest group of the AIS.
In December, 2009, we hosted our annual DIGIT workshop in Phoenix, Arizona. Anand Jeyaraj (Wright State), and Elizabeth White Baker (Wake Forest) did a fantastic job putting together the program and managing the review process!
They brought together top flight junior and senior IS researchers for a robust afternoon of discussion about issues tied to innovation diffusion and infusion in organizations. We helped each other improve our work through panel presentations on emerging issues in IS research, providing feedback on posters, and workshopping research papers. Twelve papers were workshopped - and we hope - will move forward to peer review at journals!
In August 2010, we sponsored an innovation diffusion track at AMCIS in Lima, Peru. Track co-chairs Mark Srite (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) and Anand Jeyaraj (Wright State) pulled together a well-attended program. We sponsored six mini-tracks on topics all aspects of diffusion ranging from trust in technology and efficacy at the individual level to factors that shape technology use at the organizational level. Out of 60+ submissions, 32 were presented in eight sessions. My hat's off to Mark, Anand and their team for their work on this important conference.
In addition to our conference activities, SIGADIT has been active in the IS community. SIGADIT members presently hold editorial positions at top journals such as MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research as well as serve on the AIS Council. We have built a robust community focused on our niche in IS research.
I leave my leadership position in SIGADIT knowing that our organization is on a firm footing. SIGADIT will be led in the coming year by Mark Srite (Chair) and Anand Jeyaraj (Chair Elect). DIGIT will be run by Elizabeth Baker White (VP of Meetings) and Marcus Rothenberger (Program Chair). This year, they will host our annual workshop at ICIS 2010 in St. Louis and sponsor a track at AMCIS 2011 in Detroit. We hope that each of you will continue to support our efforts and look forward to seeing you in St. Louis.
Warm regards.

DIGIT 2010 will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch in St. Louis, Missouri. The theme of the workshop is: Reflections of the Past and Gateway to the Future of Adoption and Diffusion Research.
In order to foster the workshop atmosphere that has developed in previous meetings, registration will be limited to about 40 people. Refreshments will be provided to attendees. You can register for DIGIT during the regular ICIS registration process. DIGIT Workshop at ICIS 2010 in St. Louis
AMCIS 2011 will be held in Detroit, USA from August 4-8, 2011 at the Detroit Marriott Hotel. The conference and program co-chairs has established a Diffusion of Information Technology track, and asked the respective SIGs to identify and create mini-tracks that fit the broad description of the track.
SIGADIT encourages the community to submit proposals for mini-tracks that may be affiliated with the conference track on Diffusion of Information Technology.
Call for Mini-Tracks for AMCIS 2011
SIGADIT sponsored six mini-tracks in the Adoption and Diffusion of Information Technology track at AMCIS 2010 held in Lima, Peru.
SIGADIT appreciates the services of the track chairs and mini-track chairs for their service in making the program a success:
SIGADIT also acknowledges the contributions of the anonymous reviewers, session chairs, and authors in making the program possible.
