is restructuring and strengthening its IT research and education into a
newly formed department. The core of the new department will be built
around researchers from the current units, Department of Informatics and
Center for Applied Information and Communication Technology (CAICT).</font></span></div>

Department of IT Management conducts research within the following
areas relating to IT and Information Systems: Design, Implementation,
Use and exploitation, Information Management.</font></span></div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Academic
staff within this field are primarily teaching within the following
degree programmes: Bachelor in Business Administration and Information
Systems, Bachelor in Information Management, MSc in Business
Administration and Information Systems, and the MSc in IT (eBusiness).</font></span></div>

<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Participation in developing and implementing CBS’s overall strategy</font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Seizing opportunities for the strengthening and developing the department strategy</font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Recruiting, developing and retaining highly qualified researchers and administrative staff</font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Securing quality and coherence in departmental research, including follow-up on evaluation of research and education</font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Strengthening
the department’s research areas, in particular by functioning as a
driving force and matchmaker between the groups in order to develop
shared focus areas</font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Further improving the international research position of the department</font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Financial overview of departmental activities</font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Improving external research funding </font></span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Personal research and academic development as agreed with the Dean.</font></span></li>

<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">Apart
from possessing strong interpersonal and leadership competences, the
Head of Department must have experience with university teaching and be a
recognised researcher in IT Management with a broad academic horizon.</font></span></div>
<div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';"><font size="2">The
position of Head of Department is a 3 to 5-year fixed-term appointment.
The employment contract may be extended for a period of up to 3
additional years. Pay, duration of term and conditions of employment are
open to negotiation.</font></span></div>

position will be filled in accordance with the collective agreement
governing employment terms and conditions for academics employed by the
Danish state and attached protocols, including the protocol of
collective agreement for employment of academic staff in the Danish
State Sector, pertaining to Heads of Departments and Deans of Study.</font></span></div>
