The Department of Decision Sciences and Information Systems at Florida International University is seeking an individual to fill a Visiting Assistant Professor position on a 3-year renewable contract. Additionally, based on performance, the position may be

 transformed into a Clinical Assistant Professor or Tenure Track Assistant Professor position.  Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related field of study, or expect to complete the degree by May 2011.<br>

The primary teaching responsibilities will include teaching Information Systems courses at the undergraduate level in the MIS major, and at the graduate level in the MS-MIS and MBA programs. The college is currently focusing on Health Informatics, so research,

 teaching, or work experience in the Health Informatics area will be given preference.  Other areas of Information Systems will also be considered.  The ability to deliver excellent teaching will be the prime consideration. 

</font><font face="Arial">The applicant must submit evidence of expertise in classroom teaching. 

</font><font face="Arial">Evidence of research productivity is required.  Relevant experience in industry will also be considered.  The 9-month course load will be 3 + 3. For a candidate with an exceptional research record, a 2 + 2 course load may be offered. 

 Additional summer teaching opportunities may be available. Salary will be competitive, and commensurate with experience and qualifications.<br>
