JoDS has published 15 LNCS volumes since 2003. The new version of the journal will better serve the community by publishing more material on a regular schedule. Moreover, while the previous version of JoDS solely hosted research papers, the new version will broaden its coverage by including other types of contributions such as survey papers, industry papers, short papers, position papers, and reports. <o:p></o:p></p><p>JoDS aims to provide a highly visible dissemination channel for high-quality work that addresses research and development on issues related to information semantics, i.e. issues where meaning influences the way information is managed. The target domain ranges from theories supporting the formal definition of semantic content to innovative domain-specific applications of semantic knowledge.
