 ability with a strong publication record and an international reputation in research.

The School of Information Management, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand seeks to appoint a Professor or Associate Professor in Information Systems to assist in leading the development of some of the top Information Systems/e-Commerce programmes
 in New Zealand and to enhance the School’s international reputation. <br>
<br>
The School of Information Management offers courses in information systems/e-commerce at undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-experience master’s levels. Students may also undertake a masters or PhD degree by dissertation. Located in downtown Wellington, the
 School is in close proximity to Parliament, the hub of the central business district, and many government agencies.

This role of Professor or Associate Professor is a great opportunity for a person with energy, ideas, and academic credibility to further develop a well established set of teaching programmes, research and scholarship. The appointee must be a leading and active
 researcher with a proven track-record in high quality research and in attracting and managing research funding. They should be committed to playing a research leadership role in the School by contributing to existing and emerging research themes in Information
 Systems, and building on and strengthening existing capabilities in the School. <br>
<br>
The candidate should also have demonstrated academic leadership in teaching, including the mentoring of junior staff, and successful supervision of postgraduate and PhD students. Evidence of excellent teaching quality will be highly valued. A capacity to extend
 the School's interface with relevant academic, professional and practitioner communities both nationally and internationally will be required.
