<span lang="EN-NZ" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%">Applications are invited from all IS junior faculty to participate in the Junior Faculty Consortium which will take place on Sunday, 16 December 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will be
held at the conference venue, Marriott World Center Resort in Orlando, Florida.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:6.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height:115%">
<span lang="EN-NZ" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%">The Junior Faculty Consortium consists of panels, discussions, role-playing, and other interactive sessions built around issues related to becoming a successful member of the professoriate. Each activity
will be facilitated by a select group of highly-successful IS faculty from universities around the world. This will allow each participant to interact with a wide variety of both new and senior faculty and to share their experiences, thoughts, and concerns
about developing a career in academia.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-top:6.0pt;text-align:justify;line-height:115%">
<span lang="EN-NZ" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%">Topics may include: research strategies, publishing issues, building a network of colleagues, teaching strategies and issues, service, tenure pitfalls and experiences, time management, collegiality
and academic norms, work-life balance, and career planning.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
