<p><strong><span lang="EN-US">Background </span></strong><span lang="EN-US"><br>
The Research Group of Computer and Systems Science is part of the Division of Computer Science. The research activities focus mainly on two research areas; information security and long-term digital preservation. The group is responsible for the Systems Science
programme and the international Master's programme in information security. With this application we seek to strengthen the research activities and pedagogical development in the field of information security. The position is funded for two years.<br>

<strong>Subject description</strong><b><br>
<br>
</b>Computer and Systems Science is a broad discipline that covers design and development of computer-based information systems in various kinds of organizations and interactive environments. Central research areas include information security and long-term
digital preservation. <br>
<br>
<strong>Work assignments </strong><b><br>
<br>
</b>The associate senior lecturer is expected to actively participate in and to carry out research within the department’s research areas, and to participate in applications for external research funding. The research work is expected to contribute to the development
of knowledge in the field of information security.<br>
<br>
The associate senior lecturer is responsible for and will be participating in the development and implementation of courses, in particular within the Master's programme of information security. The position includes also supervision of international Master's
students. Teaching at the Master’s level is carried out in English.<br>
<br>
All teaching is conducted as combined campus/distance teaching. One of the related goals is to develop the concept of on-line learning further in the field of information security, and to participate in continuous development of pedagogical virtual information
security laboratory facilities.<br>

</b>Qualified for appointment as associate senior researcher is the one who holds a doctorate or a foreign degree equivalent to a PhD. <br>
