The 1st Symposium on Conceptual Modeling Education (SCME<a></a>), to<br>
be held in conjunction with ER 2013 (11-13 November 2013, Hong<br>
Kong), provides a forum for discussing the education and<br>
teaching of theoretical or practical concepts related to<br>
conceptual modeling, methods and tools for developing and<br>
communicating conceptual models, techniques for transforming<br>
conceptual models into effective implementations, and case<br>
studies of interesting projects. We solicit submission of<br>
papers that describe methods of teaching and educating<br>
conceptual modeling to both the research and industry<br>
communities. We are also interested in papers sharing<br>
experiences of applying conceptual modeling in industry. Topics<br>
of interest include all methods and approaches discussing the<br>
teaching and learning of any topic of conceptual modeling<br>
listed in the CFP<a></a> of ER 2013<br>

Symposium invites submissions from the communities of<br>
databases, information systems, software engineering, web<br>
information systems, business process modeling, enterprise<br>
content management systems, and related areas.</p>

Submission Guidelines:</p>
<p>Accepted Papers will be published in the ER Workshop<br>
proceedings published by Springer. Authors should submit<br>
manuscripts using the LNCS<a></a> style. See<br>
<a href="http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html">http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html</a> for style files<br>
and details. The page limit for submitted papers (as well as<br>
for final, camera-ready papers) is 10 pages. A paper submitted<br>
to the 1st Symposium on ER Education should not be under review<br>
for any other workshop, conference or journal during the time<br>
it is being considered for the 1st Symposium on ER Education.<br>
