Professional Development Workshop on Simulation in Information Systems Research

scholars working on or intent on applying simulating modeling, particularly
agent-based modeling. It will engage IS scholars in a thoughtful

the role and value of simulation methods in IS research. The workshop
program includes an introduction to simulation models focusing on why
simulation methods are useful and appropriate for IS research, two panel
discussions on conducting and publishing simulation research from authors’ and
editors’ perspectives, and a short tutorial of a simulation toolkit
