technologies in business intelligence and analytics and social media are
fueling a need for innovative curricula in online, traditional and hybrid delivery
format that meets the industry needs. In keeping with the theme of “Reshaping
Society”, we are seeking research contributions into the pedagogical practices
that address acquisition, application, and continued development of the
knowledge and skills required in the usage of analytics, collaboration, and
decision support systems with special focus on business intelligence and social
media.<br>
<br>
Contributions could be <b style>comprehensive
research</b> or <b style>research-in-progress</b>
in teaching and learning addressing topics including but not limited to:</span></p>

Please use the <a href="http://icis2013.aisnet.org/index.php/submissions">ICIS
formatting guidelines</a> for your paper submission. <br>
Review criteria are as follows:</p>

<ul style="margin-top:0in" type="disc"><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Topic is relevant to track's
     theme and will draw an audience.</span></li><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Objectives and issues are
     clear and well-described.</span></li><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Paper and/or teaching case
     is clearly written.</span></li><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Paper and/or teaching case
     is well organized and flows logically.</span></li><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Literature integration is
     appropriate.</span></li><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Methodology (or case
     exhibit) is appropriate.</span></li><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Analyses are appropriate</span></li><li class="" style><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">Evidence supports authors'

<p><b style>Page Limit Requirements</b>: <br>
Full papers must not exceed 14 pages. Teaching note for cases must not exceed
five (5) single-spaced pages.<br>
Research-in-progress papers must not exceed 7 pages. <br>
All submissions must conform to the ICIS 2013 submission template and follow
the instructions document. The page limit must include all text, figures, and
tables. The cover page, abstract, keywords, and references are excluded from
this page count. Please use the template provided on the workshop website.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt"><span style>All accepted papers will be published in the Pre-ICIS SIGDSS workshop
proceedings. Authors will retain copyright ownership. Quality papers will be
selected for publication in the<b> Annals of Information Systems </b>in a <b>Special
Issue on “Reshaping Society through Analytics, Collaboration, and Decision
Support: Role of BI and Social Media”</b> (Springer); however, they will be
subject to further review and editing as determined by the book editors.</span></p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt">Very limited number of
papers may be selected for virtual presentation session based on logistic
constraints of the workshop. The review criteria will be the same for all
submissions. If accepted for the virtual presentation session, the presentation
mechanism details will be communicated to the authors by the track chairs.</p>
