<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span lang="EN">This explosive growth in data, computational power, and social media creates new opportunities for policy-making and research. To take advantage of these development in the digital world new approaches,
 concepts, instruments and methods are needed which are able to deal with societal and computational complexity. This requires the knowledge traditionally found in different disciplines including public administration, policy analyses, information systems,
 complex systems and computer science. The aim of this book is to provide the foundation for this new interdisciplinary field in which various traditional disciplines are blending.<br>

This books aims at being the first comprehensive book in which the various development and disciplines will be covered from the complete policy-making perspective. A wide range of aspects for social and professional networking and multidisciplinary constituency
 building along the axes of technology, participative processes, governance, policy modelling, social simulation and visualisation. This should result in a comprehensive overview of the foundations, theories, models, approaches, applications and developments
 in this domain. <br>
