e-government research issues. The workshop is dedicated to open and creative discussions about the current status of e-government research and future directions. The focus is thus on informal discussions rather than on formal conference presentations.

theme on e-government evaluation. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="Default" style="MARGIN: 0cm 0cm 0pt"><span lang="EN-US" style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri">Governments are launching many new e-government solutions as e.g. e-services,
general infrastructural components and applications for inter-organisational information exchange. Among them we see failures as well as successful applications and solutions. Based on this there is a great need for evaluation of various e-government initiatives
and implementations. We have therefore chosen “e-government evaluation” as a special theme for SWEG 2014. We invite papers on different topics within this workshop scope. Examples are given below (but not limited to these topics):

political science, information systems, knowledge management, service management, economics, sociology, and law.

work. Each submission will be anonymously peer-reviewed by two reviewers recruited from researchers that submit papers to the workshop.

full research papers, work-in-progress, as well as shorter position papers. Each paper will be allocated time for a short presentation, however discussion will be the main focus of the allotted time for each paper.

clearly and distinctly address one or more issues pertinent to e-government research including research methods and quality as well as focus of studies. Full papers should be max 7000 words, while research in progress should be max 3000 words. Irrespective
of the form, all submissions should be designed to support in-depth discussions of one of these issues during the workshop.
