with a specialization in Business Analytics/Business Intelligence. Rank is open, but priority will be given to current associate professors or advanced assistant professors with track records of publishing in top journals in MIS and related fields and with
training, teaching, and research in Business Analytics and “Big Data” topics. The ideal candidate will be able to complement our current BA/BI faculty and take a leadership role in molding and expanding our BA/BI programs and course offerings. Texas Tech is
a research university, and maintaining a strong publication record will be important for the successful candidate.

it an ideal location for a Business Analytics program. MIS scholars include Glenn Browne, Eric Walden, Jim Wetherbe, Don Jones, Jaeki Song, Surya Yadav, Zhangxi Lin, Qing Cao, Jim Burns, and John Durrett. The MIS group has a long tradition of publishing in
top-tier journals in MIS and allied fields. From 2001-2012, the MIS group ranked 46th worldwide for publications in MISQ, ISR, JAIS, and JMIS. In addition, the ISQS area has top-notch statisticians who offer excellent quantitative courses and research programs
in BA/BI. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"TimesNewRomanPSMT","sans-serif";color:black">The standard teaching load for faculty at the Rawls College is 2-2. The successful applicant will be expected to teach both
undergraduate and graduate courses and to provide service to the area, college, and university. Faculty at TTU are encouraged to obtain external funding for their research. The Rawls College of Business is located in a new state-of-the-art building opened
in 2012. In addition to ISQS, the college has areas of Finance, Management, Marketing, and Energy Commerce, as well as a School of Accountancy and a program in Health Organization Management. The college offers undergraduate, Masters of Science (including
MIS and Business Statistics), MBA (Traditional and Working Professional), and Ph.D. degrees. We currently offer undergraduate and masters courses in BA/BI and have a masters certificate in BA. The ISQS area includes the Center for Advanced Analytics and Business
Intelligence, which is devoted to research on BA/BI topics and is currently expanding due to new funding. The Center hosts an annual Symposium on Big Data each spring (see

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"TimesNewRomanPSMT","sans-serif";color:black">The BA/BI programs at Texas Tech benefit from several advantages not possessed by many locations. In addition to business
analytics initiatives in MIS, Statistics, Accounting, and Marketing, Texas Tech is a comprehensive university with many other sources of big data, including a medical school and health sciences center, a school of pharmacy, an engineering college, a law school,
an agriculture school, and an experimental sciences center with researchers in areas such as genetics, bioinformatics, and biochemistry. A university-wide initiative is currently underway to expand our BA/BI programs into cross-disciplinary research. Additionally,
Texas Tech’s location boasts a regional medical hub with two large hospitals and a large healthcare industry, a regional banking hub, a major energy production area (wind and oil and- gas), and a significant agriculture industry. Texas Tech University is a
Carnegie High Research Activity university with approximately 33,000 students. The university is built in Spanish Renaissance architecture and boasts one of the top university public art collections in the nation, with works from some of the world’s leading
contemporary artists. Texas Tech is located in Lubbock, a city of 230,000 in the south plains region of Texas. With a<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"TimesNewRomanPSMT","sans-serif";color:black">grid-like structure and a superb road and highway system, nearly every point-to-point trip in the city takes 15 minutes
or less. The cost of living is low compared with most metropolitan areas in the U.S. Excellent public and private schools are available.
