accredited institution of higher education in Information
Technology/Security, computer engineering or related field</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt">Qualified for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor
with tenure</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt">Specializing in the areas of information security in both
teaching and research</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt">Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching</li>
<li class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0.0001pt">Evidence of excellence in active research, publication, and
scholarship in the areas of information security, networking security and
emerging technology.</li>

<p class="MsoNormal">The
position reports to the Dean of College of Hospitality & Technology
Leadership on the USF Sarasota-Manatee Campus. Responsibilities include leading
the Program in enhancing teaching and research in information
technology/security, conducting research and scholarship activities; securing
grant and outside funding; mentoring junior faculty; preparing for ABET
professional accreditation; teaching undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of
Science in Information Technology program both on-line and in-person; engaging
in outreach and service activities; participating in curriculum and program
development; actively serving on and chairing department and university
committees. USF Sarasota-Manatee is the primary campus for this position;
however, this position may also teach on other USF campuses or off-campus
locations. Appointment is for a 9-month, tenured position, and includes an
excellent benefits package. </p>
