<p>The School of Business Administration at Oakland University seeks
to fill a <a href="http://placement.aisnet.org/Uploads/PositionFiles/0f800e85-4b49-4c5a-9737-78bd6f014988.pdf" target="_blank">Visiting
Assistant Professor of <span>MIS</span> position
for 2014-2015 academic year</a> to teach undergraduate and
graduate level courses in <span>MIS</span> and to
maintain research and service activities appropriate to the level
of appointment. The teaching load is 6 classes per academic year.
Class sizes are moderate.</p>
<u>Required Qualifications:</u><br>
<ul>
<li>A Ph.D. or ABD status in Management Information Systems or
equivalent</li>
<li>Evidence of teaching experience and scholarly achievement
commensurate with a Visiting Assistant Professor appointment </li>
</ul>
<u>Desired Characteristics/Qualifications:</u><br>
<ul>
<li>All research and teaching areas in Management Information
Systems will be considered</li>
<li>Evidence of effective undergraduate and/or graduate teaching
experience in MIS </li>
<li>Evidence of scholarly activity that has positively impacted
academic or professional audiences</li>
<li>Ability to effectively collaborate with other faculty members</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences</li>

<b>The Department of Decision and Information Sciences</b><br>
<br>
The DIS department offers an undergraduate degree in MIS, a Master
of Science in Information Technology Management (MSITM) with 3 focus
areas including <a href="http://www.oakland.edu/business/msitm?tab=28817" target="_blank">Business
Analytics</a>, and a Combined Bachelor and Master Degree (4+1
Plan). <br>

<b>The School of Business Administration</b><br>
<br>
The School of Business Administration is one of fewer than 178
institutions worldwide (less than 5%) to hold AACSB accreditation in
both Business and Accounting, assuring quality and continuous
improvement in its programs, faculty and resources. Specifically,
the SBA offers eight undergraduate majors, an MBA with eight
concentrations, a Master of Accounting, a Master of Science in
Information Technology Management, and an Executive MBA with tracks
in Health Care Management and Information Systems Leadership. The
School has four departments: Accounting and Finance; Decision and
Information Sciences; Economics; and Management and Marketing. There
are currently 65 full-time faculty, 75 part-time faculty, over 400
graduate students and about 2,200 undergraduate students. The SBA
maintains strong ties with the local business community and other
key stakeholders.<br>
