<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">This is a call for papers for a track – “<b>The Data Revolution in International Development</b>” – that will form part of the
<a href="http://www.ifipwg94.org/ifip-wg94-conference-2015">May 2015 IFIP WG9.4 international ICT4D conference</a>, to be held in Sri Lanka.

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">The data revolution track – chaired by Richard Heeks (<a href="http://www.cdi.manchester.ac.uk/">Centre for Development Informatics</a>, University of Manchester) and Mark Graham (<a href="http://www.oii.ox.ac.uk/">Oxford
Internet Institute</a>) – is seeking papers that address technical, socio-technical, socio-organisational and critical perspectives on:</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">- Open data for development</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">- Big data for development</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">- Real-time data for development</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">- Other data-for-development trends</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">Papers can be either full research papers (max. 5,000 words) or research-in-progress/practitioner reports (max. 2,500 words). They should be submitted to the track chairs –

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">The deadline for submission is <b>Friday 3<sup>rd</sup> October 2014</b>.</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2">All papers will be blind peer-reviewed before acceptance decisions are made (22<sup>nd</sup> Jan 2015 with resubmissions due 20<sup>th</sup> Feb 2015), and the conference proceedings will be published. At least one author
per accepted paper will need to attend the conference. The track chairs will develop plans for a journal special issue on the data revolution in international development following the submission deadline.<o:p></o:p></font></p>
