Junior Faculty Position in Information Systems<br>

Description:<br>
The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems is seeking qualified applicants for one junior faculty position. The Finnish systems has three levels: 1) post-doctoral research fellow-> 2) associate professor-> 3) full professor.<br>
<br>
We have now opening at the level 1. The Finnish title of the position is “tutkijatohtori”. Starting date is 2015, the position is up to four years. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in IS or a closely related discipline, and a demonstrated capability for research excellence and
high quality teaching. The selected candidates will be expected to publish in the Basket of 6(8) IS journals, such as MISQ, ISR, JAIS, JMIS, EJIS and ISJ. The teaching load is attractive: one or two courses per whole academic year.</div>

About the Department<br>
<br>
The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems is composed of information systems and computer science. Faculty members of the department have published their research in leading Information Systems journals, such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management
Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, and others. Faculty members hold editorial positions in reputable IS journals. The department has very strong connections to industry. Data collection
opportunities are outstanding.<br>

The department has recently recruited two new IS professors (Mikko Siponen and Tuure Tuunanen) in 2013. Prof. Kalle Lyytinen has a part-time professorship in the department. At the moment, in addition to this call, we have openings for a full professor/Associate Professor.
With the present and the future recruitments, the department aims to enhance its reputation as a leading IS institution in Europe.<br>
