<p class="MsoNormal">As many of you know, Sandra Slaughter, Alton M. Costley Chair and Professor of Information Technology Management at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business, died suddenly this Monday, November 3.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In addition to groundbreaking research and outstanding teaching, Sandy is remembered for her generosity with her time, talent, and resources. We are shocked and devastated by this loss.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">A number of initiatives are planned or are in the planning stages to honor Sandy. A remembrance website has been created for her at
<a href="http://www.forevermissed.com/sandra-slaughter">www.forevermissed.com/sandra-slaughter</a>. Further, at INFORMS CIST this coming weekend (November 8-9), there will be a special session honoring Sandy’s memory at 5:15PM (Golden Gate 2) in the Hilton
Hotel. Other opportunities for the community to remember Sandy are in the planning stages.
