<p class="MsoNormal">The individual selected for this position will focus on teaching and is not required to engage in research. Candidates should have a strong passion for teaching and student engagement, with prior instructional experience or demonstrated
 potential for excellence in teaching. Candidates will be expected to design and teach new course offerings in Information Assurance, Usable Security and Privacy, or Cybersecurity that will be delivered at the undergraduate and graduate level.

<p class="MsoNormal">Lecturers are an integral part of the faculty of the iSchool with full voting privileges and are highly valued, with mentorship opportunities provided. This is a full-time appointment in which candidates typically teach for 9 months per
 year (excluding summer) although opportunities for summer teaching may be available. The appointment is at the rank of Lecturer Full-time or Senior Lecturer Full-time commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants must have a Bachelors degree
 or equivalent by date of appointment. This position is not eligible for green card sponsorship. A graduate degree, professional experience, and prior teaching experience are desirable but not required. This is not a tenure-track position.

<p class="MsoNormal">Candidates will typically have degrees from fields such as Informatics, Information Science, Information Management, MIS, Human-Computer Interaction, or Computer Science and Engineering. The disciplinary academic background is less important
 than a deep understanding of Information Assurance and Cybersecurity and having a strong desire and ability to teach. The Information School highly values candidates with a broad interest in technology and the human condition. Candidates who have demonstrated
 an interest in social impact in varying human contexts are especially desirable.
