<p><font size="2" face="sans-serif"><u>Workshop on Social Considerations in Business Informatics (SCBI) 2015 - Call for Papers</u></font><br>

<font size="2" face="sans-serif">SCBI '15 will be co-located with the 17th IEEE Conference on Business Informatics (CBI 2015) in Lisbon, Portugal, on July 13-16, 2015.</font><br>
<font size="2" face="sans-serif">SCBI is pracademic in nature and intends to attract exploratory and thought-provoking contributions from academia and industry alike. The aims of the workshop are twofold:</font>
<ol type="1" style="padding-left: 36pt">
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">The workshop welcomes contributions focusing specifically on human, social, cultural, and organizational aspects of business informatics related topics.</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">The workshop also intends to instigate more self-reflection within the business informatics discipline about the way in which the aforementioned considerations are addressed in research: e.g. what topics are inside and what are outside of business informatics; what paradigmatic positions are pertinent to study the variety of topics in the field?</font></ol>
<br>
<font size="2" face="sans-serif">We encourage both academics and practitioners to share their ongoing research, reflections, as well as their insights from practical experiences. The suggested topics include but are not limited to:</font>

<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Human behavior as a challenge/opportunity for business informatics (BI) in practice</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">The role of societal and organizational considerations in BI research and practice</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Challenges/opportunities of modeling human behavior in enterprises</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">How to model an enterprise for different stakeholder groups</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Societal aspects of enterprise transformation</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Social considerations in enterprise architecture</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Cultural considerations in business-IT alignment</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">The impact of intra-organizational politics on the success of BI instruments</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Methodological approaches to study behavioral phenomena in the context of BI</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Reflections of research paradigms (e.g. interpretive, constructive)</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">The effect of employee diversity on the use/success of BI instruments.</font></ul>

<font size="2" face="sans-serif">Four types of submissions are invited:</font>

<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Theoretical papers</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Best practice studies</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Comparative studies</font>
<li><font size="2" face="sans-serif">Impact analyses.</font></ul>

<font size="2" face="sans-serif">Work submitted for consideration must not have been published elsewhere and must not be under review or submitted for review elsewhere during the duration of consideration. At least one author of accepted papers is expected to present the paper at the SCBI workshop in Lisbon. All accepted papers will appear in the workshop proceedings published by IEEE.</font><br>
