Social Media and Government</div><div><br></div><div>EXTENDED DEADLINE January 30 </div><div><br></div><div>The use of social media has been growing rapidly and globally. Governments at all levels have been using these media for public administration and for outreach to citizens. Citizens, businesses and voluntary associations have been using them to share information, ask questions, and to collaborate on problem solving in neighborhoods, states, industries and nations. The growing use of social media has created new challenges and opportunities for all users, e.g., changes in regulations and policies, marketing, and more diverse perspectives and feedback. However the staggering number and diversity of messages and topics generated is difficult to process and make sense of, not only on a day-to-day basis, but also during crises. Social media have also offered broader, more diverse participation in collective problem solving and governance. # DESCRIPTION<br>
<br>
The main goal of the SAVE-SD workshop is to bring together publishers, companies and researchers from different fields (among which Document and Knowledge Engineering, Semantic Web, Natural Language Processing, Scholarly Communication, Bibliometrics, and Human-Computer Interaction) in order to bridge the gap between the theoretical/academic and practical/industrial aspects in regards to scholarly data.<br>
<br>
The following fields will be addressed:<br>
- semantics of scholarly data, i.e. how to semantically represent, categorise, connect and integrate scholarly data, in order to foster reusability and knowledge sharing;<br>
- analytics on scholarly data, i.e. designing and implementing novel and scalable algorithms for knowledge extraction with the aim of understanding research dynamics, forecasting research trends, fostering connections between groups of researchers, informing research policies, analysing and interlinking experiments and deriving new knowledge;<br>
- visualisation of and interaction with scholarly data, i.e. providing novel user interfaces and applications for navigating and making sense of scholarly data and highlighting their patterns and peculiarities.<br>

# SUBMISSIONS<br>
<br>
SAVE-SD welcomes the submission of original research and application papers dealing with the tree aforementioned field. We encourage theoretical, methodological, empirical and applications papers. We appreciate the submission of papers incorporating links to data sets and other material used for evaluation as well as to live demos and software source code.<br>
<br>
All submissions must be written in English. Two formats are possible for the submission:<br>
- PDF, a file formatted according to the ACM double-column instructions (<a href="http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates" target="_blank">http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates</a>);<br>
- HTML, a zip archive containing an HTML file compliant with the Research Articles in Simplified HTML (RASH) format (<a href="http://cs.unibo.it/save-sd/rash/index.html" target="_blank">http://cs.unibo.it/save-sd/rash/index.html</a>).<br>
<br>
We invite four kinds of submissions:<br>
- full research papers (max. 6 pp. in PDF or 5400 words in HTML)<br>
- position papers (max. 4 pp. in PDF or 3600 words in HTML)<br>
- demo papers (max. 2 pp. in PDF or 1800 words in HTML)<br>
- poster papers (max. 2 pp. in PDF or 1800 words in HTML)<br>

All the aforementioned limits include metadata (title, authors, keywords, ACM categories, abstract), acknowledgements, references and the whole content of the paper. In the HTML format, figures and tables count 300 words each.<br>

# EVALUATION OF SUBMISSIONS<br>
<br>
In order to evaluate the submitted papers, we have three different program committees:<br>
- The Senior PC, whose members will act as meta-reviewers and have the crucial role of balancing the scores provided by the reviews from the other two PCs (see below);<br>
- The Industrial PC, who will evaluate the submissions from an industrial perspective mainly – by assessing how much the theories/applications described in the papers do/may influence (positively or negatively) the publishing domain and whether they could be concretely adopted by publishers and scholarly data providers;<br>
- The Academic PC, who will evaluate the papers from an academic perspective mainly – by assessing the quality of the research described in such papers.<br>
<br>
All submissions will be reviewed by (at least) one Senior PC member, one Industrial PC member and two Academic PC members. The final decision of acceptance/rejection will be made in consensus by the chairs.<br>
<br>
<br>
# PUBLICATION VENUES<br>
<br>
The proceedings of SAVE-SD will be collected in the Companion volume of the WWW 2015 conference, which will be published by ACM in its digital library. The WWW 2015 organisers will require at least one registration per paper published in the Companion volume. At the time of submission of the final camera-ready copy, authors will have to indicate the already registered person for that publication.<br>

In addition, the authors of the best papers of the workshop will be invited to submit an extended version of their work to a special issue that will be published as part of the Journal of Documentation (<a href="http://www.emeraldinsight.com/journal/jd" target="_blank">http://www.emeraldinsight.com/journal/jd</a>), one of the longest established academic journals in library and information science (2013 Impact Factor: 1.035; indexed in several citation services, among which Elsevier's Scopus and Thomson Reuters' Journal Citation Reports).<br>

# INVITED SPEAKER<br>
<br>
The invited speaker for the opening keynote of the workshop will be Paul Groth from Elsevier Labs.<br>
<br>
Paul Groth holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southampton (2007), has done research at the University of Southern California, and has been an assistant professor in the Web and Media Group at the VU University of Amsterdam and a member of its Network Institute.<br>
<br>
His research focuses on dealing with large amounts of diverse contextualised knowledge with a particular focus on the web and science applications. This includes research in data provenance, web and data science, knowledge and data integration and knowledge sharing. Paul was co-chair of the W3C Provenance Working Group that created a standard for provenance interchange. He is co-author of Provenance: an Introduction to PROV. Currently, he is a key contributor to Open PHACTS (<a href="http://www.openphacts.org" target="_blank">http://www.openphacts.org</a>) - a project to develop a provenance-enabled platform for large scale pharmacological information. # AWARDS<br>

Public sector organisations increasingly develop and use big and open data solutions and platforms for data exchange, including sensor data and vast amounts of data from a plentitude of sources. These developments are used to open up government, engage with stakeholders, create value from these huge amounts of data, improve transparency, and inform decision and policymaking. It even allows for the development of social innovations and commercial services by making 'smart' combinations of big and/or open data. This leads to a shift in the positions of government and other parties, and has brought forward a host of applications to deal with societal issues. It also brings social and technical challenges and questions related to information quality, implementation considerations, policy implications, and changing relationships between stakeholders, integrity, amongst many others.<br>

The Open Government & Open and Big Data Track focuses on practices and methods of transparency, accountability, open government data, public big data sharing and use, data for improving public value and data analytics. The explosive growth in data, the opening of data, large-scale data exchange platforms, data provided by the Internet of Things and increasing computational power creates new opportunities for innovating government. These developments have resulted in a repertoire of instruments and tools to gather, process, analyse, visualize and make use of the huge amount of data.<br>

Given the current turbulent state of world economy, multi-organizational interaction is coming under tremendous pressure. Companies are no longer providing prolonged fixed-term arrangements but are fluidly establishing relationships (and terms) based on deliverables and goodwill. This is putting tremendous pressure on teams to deliver quality product on time. Team adaptability and team configuration are becoming crucial to meet deadlines. Teams must be able to adapt quickly to the changing environment and circumstances. Agile teams adapt and deliver quickly and provide maximum customer satisfaction. By definition, however, agile teams must be co-located. Can distributed teams be agile and adaptable? This requires careful team configuration. This mini-track examines the emerging issues related to team configuration and performance in distributed environment. Some research related to outsourcing of structured tasks has been done, but research related to emerging issues like diversity, cohesiveness, agility and adaptability related to group collaboration across semi or unstructured tasks is still emerging. In addition, the "e (Internet)" to "m (mobile)" transformation is creating exciting opportunities for groups to make real time decisions in a mobile environment.<br>
<br>
Distributed teams, however, face many challenges of time, location, infrastructure, language, customs, socialization and politics. This is further compounded in globally distributed teams by diversity, nationality and cultural issues. As old issues are resolved, new challenges emerge that require knowledge from multiple disciplines such as information systems, social sciences, international management, leadership and political science. It is almost impossible for one individual to have expertise in so many domains, which makes this a very challenging but ultimately rewarding collaborative area of research. Given the richness and research potential of this area, it is essential to brainstorm and bring diverse points of view to develop underlying theory and frameworks. The mini track will attempt to accomplish these objectives.<br>
The mini track will address emerging issue such as diversity, culture, adaptability and agility related to teams in distributed group decision making, as well as the underlying theories of group dynamics, coordination, communications and decision-making in distributed environments, in creation of competitive advantage. Introduction:<br>
Big data analytics is de?ned as ?a collection of data and technology that accesses, integrates, and reports all available data by filtering, correlating, and reporting insights not attainable with past data technologies? (APICS 2012). It is an emerging phenomenon which reflects the ever increasing significance of data in terms of its growing volumes, variety and velocity (the speed with which it is being created and processed) (Department for Business- Innovation and Skills 2013). While data has always been a part of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) agenda, it is the scale and scope of change which big data is bringing that has attracted so much attention. Like many new phenomena it is sometimes over-sold because of hype or misunderstanding, yet there are tangible case studies of the power of big data to generate value and competitive advantage, albeit such examples remain comparatively small in number to-date. Its applications have been strong in the financial services, insurance, retailing and healthcare sectors, while in manufacturing, companies such as Rolls Royce and Ford have been reported to derive success from big data in predicting engine failures before they occur and in managing supplier risk (Goodwin 2013).<br>
<br>
For Operations Management, big data has the potential to enable more sophisticated data-driven decision making and new ways to organise, learn and innovate (Yiu 2012; Kiron 2013). Its impact may be manifest in strengthening customer relationships, managing operations risk, improving operational efficiency or by improving product or service delivery or whatever the key business drivers may be (Kiron 2013). Operations in many organisations are experiencing much more voluminous and unstructured data environments because of real-time information from sensors and RFID tags which facilitate asset and business process monitoring (Davenport, Barth et al. 2012), end-to-end supply chain visibility, improved manufacturing and industrial automation (Wilkins 2013), manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness (Zelbst, Green et al. 2011). Ford, for example, is reported to be scouring ?the metrics from the company's best processes across myriad manufacturing efforts and through detailed outputs from in-use automobiles--all to improve and help transform its business.? (Gardner 2013). However, despite some reported successes, OM researchers need to retain a healthy scepticism until rigorous research has been done in operations contexts. That is why this new phenomenon should have the attention of OM researchers, and hence this call for papers.<br>
<br>
Given its high operational and strategic potential, notably in generating business value within various industries, big data has recently become the focus of a variety of scholars and practitioners. Some researchers have recently suggested that ?big data? is the ?next big thing in innovation? (Gobble 2013, p.64), ?the fourth paradigm of science? (Strawn, (2012)), or ?the next frontier for innovation, competition, and productivity? (Manyika, Chui et al. 2011, p.1). As a result, challenges related to big data have confronted businesses and organizations. In the operations and service contexts, big data also holds tremendous potential. In a recent survey study on third-party logistics services (3PL), (Langley 2014) found that 97% of shippers and 93% of 3PLs ?feel strongly that improved, data-driven decision-making is essential to the future success of their supply chain activities and processes? (p. 4), whereas approximately 50% of each group disagrees that ?big data fuels these decisions? which shows how much potential for big data has still to be realized (p. 4). Big retailers are currently leveraging big data capabilities for improved customer experience, fraud reduction, and just-in-time recommendations (Tweney 2013).<br>
In addition, big data technologies can be implemented in a range of applications including industrial automation<<a href="http://www.dpaonthenet.net/products/183/Control-Automation" target="_blank">http://www.dpaonthenet.net/products/183/Control-Automation</a>> tools, building management systems, production equipment, sales force information systems, and power plan conditions tools. For example, big data enabled-automation and manufacturing facilitates real-time detection and diagnosis of production issues, and thus reduces significantly downtime costs. Similarly, insights from big data analytics allows real-time process monitoring and measurement for improved quality management, logistics and order fulfilment cycles (Wilkins 2013). In short, ?by observing causal factors for quality issues, process variability and energy efficiency through the manufacturing process, big data analysis becomes the basis for gaining a competitive advantage?(Wilkins 2013).<br>
<br>
Even if big data holds the capability of transforming competition and thus competitive advantage, many managers are still struggling to understand the concepts related to big data, consequently failing to capture business value from big data. In addition, very few empirical studies have been conducted on the real value from big data.<br>
<br>
Objective:<br>
The main objective of this special issue is to fill this knowledge gap. Specifically, this special issue aims to invite OM scholars and practitioners to look at the ways and means to co-create and capture business value from big data in terms of new business opportunities, improved performance, and competitive advantage. The results will in turn reveal the implications of big data on operations management practices and strategies.<br>

Samuel Fosso Wamba, PhD., is Associate Professor at NEOMA Business School, France. Prior, he was a Senior lecturer at the School of Information Systems & Technology (SISAT), University of Wollongong, Australia. He earned an MSc in mathematics, from the University of Sherbrooke in Canada, an MSc in e-commerce from HEC Montreal, Canada, and a Ph.D. in industrial engineering, from the Polytechnic School of Montreal, Canada. His current research focuses on business value of IT, business analytics, big data, inter-organisational system (e.g., RFID technology) adoption and use, e-government (e.g., open data), supply chain management, electronic commerce and mobile commerce. He has published papers in a number of international conferences and journals including European Journal of Information Systems, Production Planning and Control, International Journal of Production Economics, Information Systems Frontiers, Business Process Management Journal, Proceedings of the IEEE, AMCIS, HICSS, ICIS, and PACIS. Andrew Taylor, PhD<br>
Andrew Taylor is Professor of Operations and Information Systems at Bradford School of Management, Andrew teaches World Class Operations, Resource Planning for Operations and Environmental Management & Quality Systems. He specialises in research relating to organisational performance improvement approaches such as Lean Systems, Performance Measurement and applications of new technologies such as Data Mining, Knowledge Management and 3D Printing. Professor Taylor has professional experience in aerospace, public utilities and government organisations, having worked in Short Brothers (now part of the Bombardier group), Northern Ireland Electricity and the Northern Ireland Training Authority. He has consulted widely. As a graduate of The Queen?s University of Belfast, Andrew holds a BSc in electronics and information systems, an MSc in industrial engineering and a PhD in manufacturing management. Previously Andrew Taylor was Professor of Information Management at Queen?s, Belfast where he worked for 12 years before coming to Bradford in 1996. His research work has been published in Omega, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Expert Systems with Applications, European Journal of Information Systems, Communications of the ACM, Information Systems Management, Production Planning and Control and the International Journal of Production Research.<br>

Eric W. T. Ngai, PhD<br>
Prof. Eric Ngai is a Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His current research interests are in the areas of E-commerce, Supply Chain Management, Decision Support Systems and RFID Technology and Applications. He has over 100 refereed international journal publications including MIS Quarterly, Journal of Operations Management, Decision Support Systems, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Production & Operations Management, and others. He is an Associate Editor of European Journal of Information Systems and Information & Management. He serves on editorial board of four international journals. Prof. Ngai has attained an h-index of 20, and received 1190 citations, ISI Web of Science.<br>

Fred Riggins, PhD<br>
Fred Riggins is Associate Professor in the College of Business at North Dakota State University. His research focuses on e-commerce, inter-organizational systems, RFID, and microfinance. He has published in leading journals including Management Science, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, International Journal of RF Technologies, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, and Communications of the ACM. In a 2009 AIS publication, he ranked #9 on the list of top IS researchers from 2003-2007 based on number of publications and outlets. According to Google Scholar he has an h-index of 19 and over 2,500 citations.<br>

The 10th Annual Midwest Association for Information Systems Conference<br>
(MWAIS 2015), hosted by Pittsburg State University, will accept current<br>
topics on pedagogy, research and service in IT/IS. The conference will<br>
provide an intimate environment to facilitate the sharing of ideas and<br>
findings.<br>

The Accounting and Computer Information Systems Department at the Kelce<br>
College of Business is interdisciplinary in nature and we want the theme of<br>
this year's conference to reflect the strengths of our department. Building<br>
on that this year's conference theme is "Interdisciplinary Research in the<br>
Information Systems Field"<br>

MWAIS 2015 will have several presentation sessions, workshops, invited<br>
keynote speakers, panel sessions, doctoral and undergraduate student<br>
sessions. There will be speakers from academia and industry represented<br>
from across the Midwest region.<br>

Manuscripts, research in progress, panel and workshop proposals are invited<br>
from all regions, and from both academia and practice. Submitted papers and<br>

On behalf of the newly formed AIS Special Interest Group on Open Research and Practice (<a href="http://sigopen.org/" target="_blank">http://sigopen.org/</a>) we are pleased to remind you of the call to participate in The 2015 Developmental Workshop on Open Research and Practice in Information Systems to be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 (prior to ECIS 2015 in M?nster, Germany).<br>

Workshop Overview<br>
<br>
This full-day workshop will provide a developmental forum for participants to discuss and develop research-in-progress investigating a wide variety of ?open? phenomena and practices, such as<br>
<br>
* the Peer Production of Knowledge Goods (e.g. open source software, hardware, content and design; the collaborative economy and the sharing society; etc.),<br>
* Collective Intelligence, Action and Resources (e.g. open innovation; the wisdom/wealth/power of crowds; social media in extreme events; citizen science; volunteer computing; crowdsourcing/funding; etc.),<br>
* Open Science and Education (e.g. open data/access; publishing and data management conflicts; open teaching and learning; micro-scholarship; open peer-review; etc.)<br>

The workshop will focus on small group work, with round-table discussions of thematically linked research-in-progress, and moderated by a member of the workshop?s mentoring committee.<br>
<br>
The emphasis will be on focused, pragmatic engagement to support researchers in solving the problems they are presently facing with the work (e.g. theory development, data analysis, communication of results, etc.) There will also be opportunities for broader discussion amongst the full group of workshop participants.<br>

Information systems security problems are currently a widespread and growing concern that covers most of the areas of society, such as business, domestic, financial, government, healthcare, and so on. The scientific community has realized the importance of aligning information systems engineering and security engineering in order to develop more secure information systems. Nevertheless, there is lack of an appropriate event that will promote information systems security within the context of information systems engineering. The proposed workshop fulfils this gap.<br>

Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics of the workshop. The results described must be unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere. Only papers in English will be accepted. Manuscripts must comply with the Springer LNCS formatting rules. Prepare your manuscript as a PDF file and submit it to the workshop organizers via the EasyChair system.<br>

We accept three types of submissions: Regular Research Papers, Experience Papers and Demo/Poster Papers.<br>
**Regular Research Papers describe original solutions (theoretical, methodological or conceptual) in the field of secure information systems engineering. A regular research paper should describe the context of the work, the problem tackled, the relevant state of the art, the position or solution suggested and the benefits of the contribution. The length of regular research papers should not exceed 12 pages (including all text, figures, references and appendices.). Three to five keywords characterising the paper should be indicated at the end of the abstract.<br>
**Experience papers present application of work to case studies and industrial practice. Such papers should provide a detail description of the application setting, describe lessons learned, and discuss best practice. Experience papers should not exceed 12 pages (including all text, figures, references and appendices.). **Demo/Poster papers should briefly discuss academic and/or industrial efforts on software tools and systems for secure information systems engineering. Demo/Poster papers should not exceed 1 page and they should provide a brief description of the research and software/system to be demonstrated. Poster papers are also ideal to explain a new idea and get feedback from the community. It is expected that accepted papers will be presented in the form of a live demonstration or a poster.<br>

Submissions not conforming to the LNCS format and the above page limitations or being obviously out of the scope of the workshop will be rejected without review.<br>

Registration<br>

For each accepted submission, at least one author is expected to register for the workshop and attend the workshop in order to present the paper. Registration is through the CAiSE?15 web site.<br>

Workshop Structure<br>

The workshop will combine paper presentations, poster/demonstration session, and a keynote. Moreover, accepted papers apart from presentation time, will be assigned with one or two discussants with responsibility to initiate the discussion on the paper. We are confident that such structure will support a workshop environment that will be based on discussion, debate and will therefore provide an important contribution to the relevant research community.<br>

The 2nd International Symposium on Partial Least Squares Path Modeling - The Conference for PLS Users is for researchers in business and social sciences who apply and advance partial least squares (PLS) path modeling. It provides a platform for the fruitful exchange of ideas regarding variance-based structural equation modeling. It resumes and enriches the ongoing discussion about the strengths and weaknesses of PLS path modeling.<br>

The main symposium takes place on June 17 & 18, 2015. There will be a pre-conference workshop on 16 June 2015 to provide an introduction to PLS path modeling (in English and Spanish), and on 19 June 2015, a post-conference workshop will take place on new developments in the context of PLS path modeling. We will introduce two research projects as a venue for generating a conversation on:<br>
? Qualitative research methods in information systems research.<br>

About this Research<br>
Virtual worlds offer great potential for supporting the collaborative work of geographically distributed teams. However, reports indicate the existence of substantial barriers to the acceptance and use of virtual worlds in business settings.<br>
<br>
In this paper, we explore how individuals' interpretations of virtual worlds influence their judgments of the value of the technology. We conducted a qualitative analysis set in the context of a large computer and software company that was in the process of adopting virtual worlds for distributed collaboration. We identified interpretations of virtual worlds that suggest three mental categories: virtual worlds as a medium, virtual worlds as a place, and virtual worlds as an extension of reality.<br>
<br>
We associated these mental categories with different criteria for assessing the value of virtual worlds in a business setting. This study contributes particularly to the acceptance of virtual worlds but also more generally to the understanding of technology acceptance by demonstrating that the relative importance of the criteria for assessing a technology varies with potential users' interpretations and mental categorizations.<br>

Dr. Kathryn Aten is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy, Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, U.S.A. where she teaches business policy and strategy. Her research explores the role of cognition and technology in organizations, focusing on how interactions between technology use, culture and communication shape organizational behavior and outcomes.<br>

Dr. Luciara Nardon is an Associate Professor of International Business at the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University, Canada where she teaches International Management and Strategy at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research explores the role of culture and cognition on management, focusing on how cognitive processes, communication skills, and technology use facilitate work in multicultural environments.<br>

*Description of Agile Project Management Minitrack:*<br>
Agile methodologies such as eXtreme Programming (XP) and SCRUM strive to reduce the cost of change throughout the software development process. Even though there have been many success stories with the adoption of agile<br>
methodologies, managers of such project teams are challenged to align their traditional methodologies and tools to those of agile methodologies.<br>
Agile methodologies rely heavily on teams and teamwork. Therefore, management must develop a better understanding of the factors that help teams using agile methodologies drive project success. These may include selecting appropriate personnel for the team; developing effective communication processes for the team; creating an open work environment; ensuring correct decisions are made; implementing appropriate controls; encouraging continuous communication with the customer; and establishing evaluation and reward systems based on individual and team performance.<br>
<br>
A further difficulty for organizations relates to the management of a potentially diverse range of agile projects at the portfolio level. Agile project portfolio management provides opportunities that a traditional project portfolio would not allow such as more transparent metrics, frequent management review meetings, and a quicker readjustment of project priorities and resources.<br>

Special Track: Semantic and Cognitive Computing<br>

For the 20th edition of NLDB, we especially solicit submissions for our<br>
special track: Natural Language and its connection to Semantic and<br>
Cognitive Computing. Semantic computing aims at connecting the meaning of<br>
the user?s need with semantics of content in a multidisciplinary fashion.<br>
Cognitive Computing systems naturally interact with people and learn over<br>
time. While natural language understanding is necessary for semantic<br>
understanding and interacting with a cognitive system (e.g. a question<br>
answering system or a search application), it is an open question how to<br>
leverage direct or indirect user feedback for improving the overall<br>
system's output, but also for improving the natural language processing<br>
stack and evolving the system's knowledge representations. Further, the<br>
interaction of natural language and formalized knowledge repositories is<br>
attained differently in the literature. Papers for the special track<br>
especially focus on the adaptivity and the combination of NL and knowledge<br>
processing systems: domain adaptation, adaptation over time, adaptivity and<br>
user feedback, wisdom of the crowds, information fusion from heterogeneous<br>
sources, incremental/online machine learning. We especially encourage<br>

DigitalHeritage is the international event for those working on information technology for heritage. A "federated" world congress of the leading international societies, organizations, and events around IT for heritage, DigitalHeritage 2015 will bring together for the second time, VSMM, Eurographics GCH, Arqueol?gica 2.0, Archaeovirtual, and special events from CAA, CIPA, Space2Place, ICOMOS ICIP, and more, all in one venue with a prestigious joint publication. A groundbreaking public display of cutting edge digital heritage projects will also grace the conference venue at Granada's Alhambra and Parque de las Ciencias. Following the successful format of the first DigitalHeritage in 2013, the conference will have a single call for papers and a coordinated scientific review process across all the federating events.<br>

We are seeking original, innovative and previously unpublished contributions in theoretical or applied Digital Heritage areas. All papers will be double-blind peer-reviewed by at minimum 3 referees from the International Scientific Committee. Every submission will have at least one technical and one cultural reviewer to ensure a rich diversity of accepted works spanning both technology and the humanities. All submissions will be reviewed for originality, significance, clarity, impact, and soundness.<br>
Since this is a joint World Congress, you need to submit only once to be considered for the integrated joint proceedings of all affiliated events. We remind that we will have a single review process and publication.<br>

Each submission shall indicate the specific Digital Heritage 2015 Theme that is more relevant (see bellow the definition of the five planned Themes).<br>

For a Special Session proposal to be considered for acceptance at Digital Heritage 2015, the proposed topic needs to be a presentation of teaching objectives (tutorials), contributions to the state-of-the-art, new initiatives or an emerging area in one of the core themes of the conference. The topic should be timely and significantly important to the audience, and the speakers need to convey compelling information about it.<br>
<br>
Tutorials should be planned as half-day or full-day, at introductory, intermediate or advanced levels, and could cover any theme among the entire spectrum of topics of the Conference. They could focus vertically on technology, or could demonstrate its potential for creative applications. Tutorials are intended to show what can be done, but even more importantly, how this is done and what kind of tools can be used to do it. While proposing a tutorial, authors should consider that tutorial attendees come from diverse backgrounds, ranging from research and development to education, curatorship and applications.<br>

Proposals for Workshops and Panels will be judged by the ability to bring together key researchers from the CH as well as ICT domains, aiming at introducing a new area to the overall community, to further develop it, and to help establishing a larger research community beyond that area. Special session proposals covering multi-disciplinary areas are particularly encouraged, as well as those proposals regarding common challenges, e.g. (and not restricted to) Methods in Archaeology, Museums and Technology, etc.<br>

Special Session submissions (up to 4 A4-pages) should contain the following information:<br>
A title and brief description of the content or topic and its relevance to the DH community (not more than 1,500 words);<br>
Full contact information for all tutorial instructors or workshop leaders, including a one-paragraph statement of their research interests and areas of expertise;<br>
A short CV for each presenter, participant or authors who have agreed to participate with their results to the session<br>
A description of target audience and expected number of participants (based, if possible, on past experience);<br>
Any special requirements for technical support.<br>
Additionally, Tutorial proposals should include:<br>
A brief outline showing that the core content can be covered in a half day (approximately 3 hours, plus breaks). In exceptional cases, full-day tutorials may be supported as well.<br>
Workshop proposals must include:<br>
The intended length and format of the workshop and the forecasted number of attendees;<br>
A proposed budget (as DH workshops are expected to be self-financing).<br>

DIGITAL HERITAGE EXPO<br>

The community is invited to submit proposals for installations, applications, digital artworks, or technical demos to build up the Digital Heritage Expo at DH2015. During this important international event, dedicated spaces for Virtual Archaeology, Virtual Museums and Digital Art will provide an additional forum to showcase project results and present applications. Spaces will be provided by the Science Museum and will be accessible and open not only to the conference participants but to also to the public. Best showcases and projects will be selected by the scientific committee, and will be assigned space and visibility within the exhibition area. Applications and artworks must be finished and submitted by the deadlines defined in this call. Submissions should not exceed 4 A4-pages (including images, references, etc.) addressing the scope of the exhibition themes and highlight innovation (cultural/technological), impact (cognitive, artistic, communicative), novelty of the approach, and typology of the<br>
installation/application, of the contents and of the interactive system. Submissions might be complemented by supplementary visual material.<br>

VISUAL MATERIAL<br>

Paper submissions, Applications, Exhibitions & Showcases are encouraged to submit visual materials, promotional videos or multimedia presentations that demonstrate and describe the results of the scientific work, project, or exhibitor showcase. Visual Materials will be required by the scientific committee for the selection of the best working results to be awarded. A dedicated upload area will be provided for final paper submission.<br>

SUBMISSION REGULATIONS<br>
<br>
Submissions will be administratively rejected without review if it is found that:<br>
1. The submission violates the IEEE & EG Policy and Procedures on Plagiarism.<br>
2. The submission is a dual submission; that is, if the submission is simultaneously under review for any other conference or publication.<br>
3. Electronic files have been submitted that have been designed to have side effects other than presenting the submitted work to reviewers and committee members (for example, a "phone home" script).<br>
4. It appears that the paper contains material for which the submitters have not secured the necessary copyrights.<br>
