Research Coordinator

The Faculty of Information Technology <https://www.jyu.fi/it/en> is currently seeking to recruit a
RESEARCH COORDINATOR

For period 1.6.2022 – 31.12.2024

Duties and requirements

The Research Coordinator’s task is to help to get external funding and in the implementation of faculty’s research development projects together with the vice dean of research. Tasks include project preparations, especially to obtain big EU projects, and coordination of various complementary funding projects, faculty’s research development project preparation and coordination, research work in projects, teaching, and thesis guidance.

An applicable doctoral degree, earlier experience of project preparations, and experience in coordinating complementary funding projects. The research coordinator is expected to work independently, has excellent interaction and cooperation skills, a self-initiative approach, organizational skills, and is systematic. Experience in project management is an advantage.

The duties and qualification requirements for the position of Research coordinator are stipulated by the University of Jyvaskyla Regulations and language skills guidelines. The selected person is expected to have a command of the Finnish language. The University may grant exemption from the language proficiency requirements if needed. The Research coordinator is expected to have good skills in the English language.

Salary

The Research Coordinator’s duty-specific part of the salary is determined by the job demand level 5 of teaching and research personnel in the general university salary system. Your salary is around 3300 – 3800 € a month depending on your qualifications and previous experience.

A trial period of six months will be used at the beginning of the employment.
