Scandinavian Journal of Information Systems (SJIS) is looking for a new editor from Sweden.

The editorial board of the SJIS has four members, one from each country in the IRIS Association. Each year one member ends their four-year service on the board and is replaced by another person from the same country.

This year Katrin Jonsson from the University of Umeå ends her service on the board and a new member from Sweden must be appointed.

We are looking for researchers working in Swedish academic institutions within information systems, informatics, digitalization, and related fields. Ideally, we are looking for a researcher with some editorial experience, and long-term ties to Swedish academia. The selected candidate will serve at the editorial board for four years. The editors are also expected to represent the journal at the annual IRIS/SCIS conference.

To nominate yourself, please sent your application addressed to the IRIS board by email to Aleksandre Asatiani (aleksandre.asatiani at ait.gu.se<mailto:aleksandre.asatiani at ait.gu.se>) – Sweden’s representative on the IRIS board. Applications should include a cover letter with an editorial statement and CV. Deadline for nominations: 4th of December 2022.

The nomination and selection procedure will be as follows:

· Applications are sent to the IRIS board by the 4th of December 2022.

· The IRIS board makes a shortlist of candidates.

· The IRIS board consults the current editors about the candidates.

· The board selects and appoints the new editor.

· The new editor will assume their position on the 1st of January 2023.

Members of the SJIS editorial board are appointed by the IRIS board according to article IV, section 1 of the IRIS bylaws. The current president of the IRIS board (Esko Penttinen) will chair the selection committee.
