<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" class="">With this email we would like to invite you to take part in a workshop at NordiCHI, this year taking place in Uppsala, Sweden. Our workshop is called “Participatory Design meets AI” and focuses on the intersection
of PD and AI including aspects of mutual learning and co-designing with and about AI. The goal of this workshop is to explore different perspectives of AI in PD to create a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities for co-designing future ethical,
responsible, and explainable AI solutions.</span></p>

<b class="">When?</b> 13th October, 2024<br class="">
<b class="">Where?</b> Uppsala, Sweden<br class="">
<b class="">How?</b> An on-site workshop. <br class="">
<b class="">How do I take part?</b> Latest 15<sup class="">th</sup> August submit a position paper to <a href="mailto:susannks@hiof.no" class="">susannks@hiof.no</a>.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" class="">We invite position papers on relevant topics including, but not limited to, the following:</span></p>
<ul class="MailOutline">
<li class=""><span class="" style="text-indent: -18pt;">Perspectives on co-designing future ethical, responsible, and explainable AI solutions.</span></li><li class=""><span class="" style="text-indent: -18pt;">Learning practices and strategies for understanding AI.</span></li><li class=""><span class="" style="text-indent: -18pt;">Challenges facing PD for designing AI solutions</span></li><li class=""><span class="" style="text-indent: -18pt;">Lessons learned from facilitated participatory activities AI tools.</span></li><li class=""><span class="" style="text-indent: -18pt;">Combinations of the above.</span></li></ul>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" class="">The length of the papers should be between two and four pages (including references) in the ACM standard single column format. All the accepted papers will be included in the workshop proceedings on the workshop
website. In this way, the papers will be archived, and the authors can keep the copyright to themselves.</span></p>
