          proposals</span></strong><span> for the </span><strong><span>EICS
          2026 Workshops Track</span></strong><span>. The workshops
        track offers the opportunity to organize specialized forums
        alongside the main conference and to bring attention to emerging
        and timely research topics related to the </span><strong><span>engineering
          of interactive computing systems</span></strong><span>.</span></p>

    <h2><span>Scope and format</span></h2>
    <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>In addition to traditional workshops
        with paper presentations, we welcome </span><strong><span>innovative
          workshop formats</span></strong><span>, including design and
        experience workshops (where participants design and/or evaluate
        artifacts), interactive sessions based on collaborative work,
        etc.</span></p>
    <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Workshop duration can be proposed by
        the organizers: </span><strong><span>half-day or full-day</span></strong><span>.</span></p>
    <h2><span>Proposal length and template</span></h2>
    <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Workshop proposals should be </span><strong><span>no
          longer than 5 pages</span></strong><span>, using the </span><strong><span>new
          ACM Master template</span></strong><span> (manuscript option).</span></p>
    <h2><span>Required proposal contents</span></h2>
    <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Workshop proposals must include:</span></p>
    <ul data-spread="false">
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Background:</span></strong><span>
            The workshop aims and goals.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Target audience:</span></strong><span>
            Expected background, knowledge level in the workshop themes,
            and expected number of participants.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Pre-workshop plans:</span></strong><span>
            Recruitment and community-building plans (e.g., website or
            other communication channels); expectations for attendee
            submissions (format, length); and the workshop timeline
            (submission deadline, notification, final program, etc.).</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Workshop structure:</span></strong><span>
            Detailed structure and format, including activities, timing,
            and resources.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Operational requirements:</span></strong><span>
            Equipment or space/layout needs if accepted.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Advertising plan:</span></strong><span>
            Planned website, distribution to mailing lists, invitations
            to attendees of previous related workshops/conferences, etc.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Post-workshop plans:</span></strong><span>
            Dissemination plan for workshop outputs. The current plan is
            to publish accepted workshop material in a </span><strong><span>common
              volume for all EICS 2026 workshops</span></strong><span>,
            as an </span><strong><span>LNCS volume published by
              Springer</span></strong><span> (paper format linked on the
            CfP page). Workshop papers can be revised in light of
            reviewer comments and workshop discussions. If organizers do
            not want to use this opportunity, they should inform the
            chairs at submission time.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong><span>Organizers:</span></strong><span>
            Short bios (including the main contact person) and expertise
            in organizing workshops and in the workshop topic(s).</span></p>
      </li>
    </ul>
    <h2><span>Visibility at the main conference</span></h2>
    <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Accepted workshop organizers will
        have the opportunity to present the workshop themes and results
        as </span><strong><span>posters at the main EICS 2026
          conference</span></strong><span>, enabling workshop
        participants to prepare and present posters as part of the main
        conference program.</span></p>
    <p><span>Workshop proposals are juried. Selection criteria include
        relevance to EICS, organizer scientific background and
        event-organizing experience, and the advertising/dissemination
        plan.</span></p>
    <h2><span>Use of Generative AI in manuscript preparation</span></h2>
    <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Authors must follow </span><strong><span>ACM\u2019s
          policy on the use of Generative AI in authoring papers</span></strong><span>
        (linked from the CfP page). Submissions are evaluated against
        this policy, and violations risk desk rejection.</span></p>
    <h2><span>Registration policy</span></h2>
    <ul data-spread="false">
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Workshop attendees and organizers
            must register for the </span><strong><span>workshops day</span></strong><span>,
            but </span><strong><span>not</span></strong><span> for the
            main conference.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>Workshops with </span><strong><span>5
              or fewer attendees</span></strong><span> will be canceled.</span></p>
      </li>
      <li>
        <p class="isSelectedEnd"><span>One </span><strong><span>free
              workshops-day registration</span></strong><span> is
            provided to </span><strong><span>one organizer</span></strong><span>
            per </span><strong><span>8 registered workshop attendees</span></strong><span>.</span></p>

        <p><span>One </span><strong><span>free workshops-day + main
              conference registration</span></strong><span> is provided
            to </span><strong><span>one organizer</span></strong><span>
            per </span><strong><span>12 registered workshop attendees</span></strong><span>.</span></p>
