Dear Colleague: 

I would like to invite you to submit a proposal for the 2010
Interdisciplinary Conference of AHLiST (Association of History,
Literature, Science and Technology). This exciting conference will be
coordinated by researchers  from different disciplines from Spain
(Universidad Complutense de Madrid (National University of Madrid), 
SLU-Madrid, and, U. Nebrija,) and the United States ( Purdue University
and Georgia Southern University) . 
It is a true globalized and multi-disciplined conference that offers
networking with researchers in different areas, while enjoying the
surroundings in Spain. Quality contributions for individual papers,
sessions, and cases are invited.

The 2010 conference theme is “deciphering”, with all its possible
referents, including: Do we decipher digits, codes, data, words, texts,
images, symbols, natural phenomena, and scientific results? How do we
decipher them? By using whatever available: Logic, systematic decoding,
scientific knowledge, technological sophistication or anything else? We
invite panels and individual papers on these or related topics, but will
give full consideration to any proposal within AHLiST’s scope.

The official publication of the AHLiST is The Journal of History,
Literature, Science and Technology (JHLiST), devoted to the research and
investigation pertaining to the theories and practices of science,
technology, medicine, history and literature. The journal explores the
multidisciplinary “consilience,” the linkage of science and humanities
to create insights into human endeavors. The JHLiST is a professionally
produced, edited, a
nd peer-reviewed academic journal.
