Greetings: We would like to encourage you to attend the 31st International
Conference of Information Systems (ICIS 2010) in St. Louis. The theme of
ICIS 2010, "Information Technology: Gateway to the Future," highlights the
critical role of information technology in contemporary and future
organizations and society. To register, go to: http://icis2010.aisnet.org
The St. Louis information systems community is recognized for the effective
partnership between the academic and practitioner communities in IS. This
partnership is evident in the program. The opening Keynote Event will
feature a dialogue between Rodger Riney and Ian Patterson, the CEO and CIO,
respectively, of Scottrade, about important issues of business and IT
leadership and alignment. The CIO Program offers a unique opportunity for
industry leaders and academic professionals to interact, discuss issues of
mutual interest, and share practical implications of research. The CIO
program, which was organized by Tom Browdy and Mary Sumner, in coordination
with Fred Niederman, includes three CIO panels, with 19 CIO's.
We are grateful to Mary Lacity, Sal March, and Fred Niederman, the Program
Co-chairs, for working hard and enthusiastically to develop an outstanding
program, including 174 completed papers, 87 research in progress papers, and
8 panels. We thank V. Sambamurthy and Bernard Tan, the Doctoral Consortium
Co-chairs, who have organized an excellent doctoral consortium, in which 10
scholars will provide valuable advice to 40 doctoral students from 14
countries.
We will keep you posted about activities and professional networking
opportunities at ICIS 2010. Please join us.
Best regards,
Mary Sumner and Rajiv Sabherwal
Conference Co-Chairs
