Tenure-track Position: Information Technology and Systems (ITS) Program


The Institute of Technology at the University of Washington Tacoma is
seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor
position for the Information Technology and Systems program. A Ph.D. in
Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or in a
related field with significant experience in ITS-related areas at the time
of the appointment is required. The successful candidate will have
demonstrated experience or promise for strong potential in research (as
evidenced by publications) in areas including but not limited to cloud and
distributed computing, database systems, networks, and web science and in
teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Evidence of
potential to build strong relationships with partners in the technology
industry and in developing collaborative research programs is highly
desirable.


The University of Washington Tacoma, one of three UW campuses, is an urban
undergraduate and master’s level campus that is changing the face of its
region economically, culturally, and architecturally and has close ties to
Seattle and Bothell campuses with significant collaboration opportunities.
The Institute of Technology was created in 2001 by a public/private
partnership to address the critical industry demand for baccalaureate and

and how it specifically relates to Information Technology and Computing, (2)
a statement of research interests, (3) a description of teaching philosophy
