Last Call for Papers

WEB 2011
The Tenth Workshop on E-Business
December 4, 2011, Shanghai, China
http://www.is.cityu.edu.hk/Web2011/

WEB is the premier conference on e-Commerce and e-Business. The purpose of
WEB is to provide an open forum for e-business researchers and
practitioners to share research findings, explore novel ideas, discuss
success stories and lessons learned, map out major challenges, and
collectively chart future directions of e-business.

The theme of WEB 2011 is “E-Life: Web-enabled Convergence of Commerce,
Work, and Social Life.” The ubiquity of digital devices is fast
dismantling the barriers between commercial, work, and social activities.
Consequently, shifts in managerial principles and practices are emerging
in organizations, as Generation M or the “Net Generation” joins the
workforce. Similarly, businesses are adopting lessons learned from social
networks and social computing. This marks a striking contrast to the
pre-Web eras where technology emanated from the workplace with limited
impact on personal or social activities. Many exciting research questions
are emerging. We thus call on IS researchers and IT practitioners to
explore the phenomenon and stimulate the discourse on E-Life.

We welcome research papers that examine technological, operational,
economic, behavioral, managerial, organizational, and societal aspects of
e-business frameworks, solutions and services. Papers may employ any
applicable IS research methodology (case study, survey, analytical,
experimental, computational, design science, etc.).
