Call for Nominations
2011 AIS LEO Award for Lifetime Exceptional Achievement

Purpose: The LEO Award recognizes outstanding scholars or practitioners who have made exceptional contributions throughout their careers to the Information Systems discipline. LEO Award winners are expected to be role models and an inspiration to colleagues and students, and serve as preeminent representatives of their national or regional Information Systems communities. The award is named after one of the world's first commercial applications of computing (The Lyons Electronic Office), and is sponsored by the Association for Information Systems and the International Conference on Information Systems.

History: The LEO Award was first given in 1999. Past recipients are:

Nominations: The AIS Council and the ICIS Executive Committee request nomination of deserving candidates. Any qualified member of the profession may be nominated for the award; nominations that reflect the diversity of the profession are particularly encouraged. The required nominating form is found at  <https://m360.aisnet.org/admin/forms/ViewForm.aspx?id=17837> https://m360.aisnet.org/admin/forms/ViewForm.aspx?id=17837. The form requests the name and affiliation of the nominee, the nominator’s name, affiliation, and contact information, and a brief statement supporting the nomination. Once the form is completed and submitted, a copy will automatically be sent to the Chair of the Award Committee. To contact the committee directly, please email 

Deadline: Nominations must be received no later than October 17, 2011. Nominations received after that date will not be considered.

Presentation: The LEO awards for 2011 will be presented at ICIS 2011 in Shanghai, China.
