Assistant Professor in Information Systems
The Accounting and Information Systems department at the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University seeks to hire one tenure-track Assistant Professor in Information Systems for the academic year starting in August 2012. Candidates who anticipate completing their doctoral dissertations before the end of summer (2012) are encouraged to apply. In addition, experienced candidates with an excellent record of teaching and research that could lead to tenure are also encouraged to apply for the position. Candidates should have a doctoral degree either in information systems or in accounting with very strong IS training. Salary, teaching load, and benefits are competitive with leading research universities.
Successful candidates will be able to teach courses at various levels, including the undergraduate, masters (both MS and MBA) and doctoral programs. In particular, the department seeks individuals capable of or willing to teach accounting information systems courses. All types of research interests are desirable. In particular, we seek applications from individuals who are interested in how information technology will transform businesses, markets, networks, and economic processes from a variety of theoretical or methodological perspectives.
