Track: Organizational Systems and Technology

Minitrack: Human Capital and Computing: Exploring the Resources in Front of the Black Box


This minitrack covers issues relating to human capital and computing professionals and includes submissions at the industry level, workgroup or department level, and individual level.  This minitrack seeks groundbreaking research regarding emerging issues facing the computing workforce and legal and ethical issues related to managing human computing resources.  Studies developing or extending theory on issues such as the professional commitment of computing personnel or the professional identity of computing personnel are examples of the type of papers one might expect in this minitrack. Additionally research addressing the needs, interests and abilities of computing professionals as well as studies on attracting students to the computing professions and developing a more diverse computing workforce are also desired. This minitrack will welcome all methodologies and research paradigms that focus on computing-related personnel.
