[AISWorld] Social Media PDW at Academy of Management Meeting

For those of you attending this year’s Academy of Management Meeting
in Boston, I would like invite you to attend a to an OCIS-sponsored
PDW on Researching the Informal Economy: Opportunities and Challenges
of Social Media Research. Saturday, Aug 4 2012 8:00AM - 10:00AM at
Boston Hynes Convention Center in Room 309

We have a fabulous panel of participants slated to attend, including:

Steve Borgatti (Kentucky), Ann Majchrzak (USC), Sirkka Jarvenpaa (UT
Austin), Terri Griffith (Santa Clara), Samer Faraj (McGill), Misiek
Piskorski (Harvard), Natalia Levina (NYU), Gerald Kane (Boston
College), Katherine Stewart (Maryland), Sam Ransbotham (Boston
College), Steven Johnson (Temple), and Esteve Amarali (ESADE)

The PDW will be structured into a series of interactive panels
discussing the theoretical, methodological, and practical implications
of social media for research.  It is shaping up to be an interesting
event, so we hope you will consider joining us.  Registration is
encouraged (but not required) through the AoM PDW registration system
at https://secure.aomonline.org/PDWReg (note: registration is listed
by day on the 2nd page of the registration system).

Additionally, immediately following this event is a related PDW,
entitled Teaching the Informal Economy: Social Media in the Classroom.

This event features presentations from Misiek Piskorksi (Harvard),
Karim Lakhani (Harvard), Gerald Kane (Boston College), and John
Gallaugher (Boston College).  You can also register for this event
