The Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Bern invites applications for a full-time position of an Assistant Professorship in Information Systems. The assistant professorship is assigned to the Institute of Information Systems which is part of the Department of Business Administration. The position involves teaching and research with special focus on Information Management, starting February 01, 2013.
Candidates should possess an outstanding academic qualification. Research and teaching interests should cover at least one of the following topics: enterprise content management; data management und records management (systems and business processes for the management of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data); e-business und e-government. Teaching is at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive level. Four hours of teaching per week are required. The language of instruction is German and/or English.
The successful applicant should be able to speak German or up to acquire German language skills. A Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related areas is essential for this position and a strong publication record in internationally respected journals and conferences is required.
