TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION
DECISION SCIENCES
Assistant/Associate Professor in Project Management
The Department of Decision Sciences of The George Washington
University's School of Business invites applications for a tenure
track faculty position to begin August 2013 in the Project Management
area.
Basic Qualifications: The successful candidate must hold a PhD in
Project and Program Management or related interdisciplinary field by
August 1, 2013. ABD applicants will be considered, but must complete
all degree requirements for the PhD by August 1, 2013. Applicants for
the position must demonstrate the potential for outstanding scholarly
research as demonstrated by publications or works in progress and for
distinguished teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The Department: The Department of Decision Sciences consists of
sixteen full-time faculty members specializing in Project Management,
Decision Sciences, Operations & Supply Chain Management, and
Statistics. The Department houses the Institute for Integrating
Statistics in Decision Sciences (I2SDS) and fields one of the leading
Master of Science in Project Management
(http://business.gwu.edu/mspm/) programs in the world. Department
faculty members teach courses at the undergraduate, masters, and
doctoral levels. Courses are offered both on campus and in distance

The School: The School of Business (GWSB) is AACSB accredited. It
offers bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees and a globally focused
education in business and management. The School prides itself on
offering students flexibility in their programs of study. Our faculty
is comprised of approximately 120 members in nine academic
departments.
The University: The George Washington University (GWU) is a select,
well-endowed, private institution strongly committed to the
development of its students. We have been cited in US News and World
Report as one of the top 50 institutions in the country. We have a
total enrollment of approximately 18,000 students from all over the
country and the world. The University is located in the Foggy Bottom
area of Washington, DC, an exciting center of commerce, banking, and
government.
The City: Washington, District of Columbia (DC) and the surrounding
metropolitan areas of Virginia and Maryland, have active cultural
communities with fine dining, museums, symphony, opera, ballet,
theater, recreational opportunities, historic neighborhoods and
monuments, public parks, public transportation systems, and excellent
school districts. The city is also the home of the Federal Government
as well as a large variety of national and international institutions,
such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the
Smithsonian, etc.
