Colorado
State University, a land grant, Carnegie Doctoral/Research Extensive University
of more than 27,000 students, invites nominations and applications for a
full-time, nine-month position of Professor of Computer Information
Systems.
The
anticipated start date is August 16, 2013.
Qualifications
Required– The
requirements for this position include: a) a terminal degree in a relevant
discipline; b) teaching, research, and service consistent with the rank of full
professor; c) recent and in-process publications in premier and high-quality
academic journals; d) a record of collaborating with and mentoring faculty; and
e) a record of formal or informal leadership.
Preferred– Preference
will be given to candidates with: a) experience and/or interest in teaching in
a CIS distance master’s program; b) a recent record of externally-funded
research; c) teaching and/or research experience in the areas of enterprise
systems, business intelligence, and/or systems development methodologies; and
d) a record of excellence in teaching.
Salary
will be competitive, based upon credentials and experience.

Department and University Community
The Department of
Computer Information Systems is one of five departments in the College of Business. The
Department, founded in 1964, was one of the first CIS Departments in the
country. The Department currently has nine full-time faculty members and
enrollment in both our undergraduate and master’s programs is increasing. The
College of Business offers an undergraduate program and several graduate
programs, including a graduate program in global sustainable enterprise. Our
students are actively engaged in the College and the community and consistently
perform well in national and international competitions. The College also has a
dedicated facility for behavioral research, which includes a focus group room, central research studio, control room,
and five small team rooms.
Colorado State University has recently

world-class research in infectious disease, atmospheric science, clean energy
