The Department of Accounting, Management Information Systems and Information Technology for Business and Education in the John L. Grove College of Business, Shippensburg University, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Management Information Systems, effective August 2013. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications. Primary responsibilities include: teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Management Information Systems, advising students, and assisting in curriculum development and student recruitment. Professional development through continued research is encouraged, supported and expected. A doctorate in the Information Systems, instructional technology, or a related discipline from an accredited institution is required (ABD will be considered). The terminal degree is required for tenure. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate excellent research potential. A demonstration of teaching effectiveness and evidence of a commitment to understanding diverse populations will be required as a part of the on-campus interview. Applicants should be qualified by training or experience to teaching in several of the following subject areas: information systems theory and practice, project management, systems analysis and design, and programming courses. Knowledge of computer security is highly desired.
