A post-doctoral position is available in the Department of Informatics,
University of Pretoria focussing on research fields within Informatics /
Information Systems.
Background
The Department of Informatics is based in the Faculty of Engineering,
Built Environment and Information Technology as of January 2000, but is
also one of the three 'home' departments of the formally constituted
School of Information Technology. 
A one year (2014) Post-Doctoral position, based in Pretoria, is
available to be involved in any one of the research focus areas within
the Department, including IT Management, IS and Education, ICT4D and IS
modelling and design

The Candidate
The candidate should hold a PhD degree in Informatics or Information
Systems (or relevant field), be able to work independently and as part
of a team. This is a team-orientated project and the ability to get on
with others is essential, as is a generous disposition.
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
Ability
· organisational skills
· ability to interact with and work in multiple cross-disciplinary
teams
· fluent in communicating, both orally and in writing, in English
· ability to work independently.
Experience
Experience in research related to one of the research areas.

The successful candidate will be provided with a tax free stipend and a
