Job Description/Responsibilities
This position is a tenure-eligible faculty position in Information
Systems, with research and teaching specializations in Systems
Analysis/Design, Database/Data Analytics, Information Security, or
Project Management. A commitment to top-quality research, teaching, and
service is required. Preference may be given to candidates with
significant industry experience in information systems and/or possessing
specialized skills in the area of Business Intelligence. The Department
of CMIS provides instruction in the Bachelor of Science in CMIS program,
Master of Science in Computer Management and Information Systems program
and the Management Information Systems Specialization within the
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). In addition, the
Department provides curricular support to all undergraduate majors and
minors in the School. At the graduate level, the Department supports
the MBA, BJC Masters in Health Informatics, Project Management
concentration, Masters in Accountancy, and the Masters in Marketing
Research. The curriculum includes a full range of information systems
courses and is supported by state-of-the-art computer software and
hardware technology. The University is located within the greater St.
Louis, MO metropolitan area. The large number of corporate headquarters
located in St. Louis enables faculty members to work closely with
practitioners on joint ventures.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Information Systems or a closely related field is
required. Applicants must be qualified to teach at both the
undergraduate and graduate levels and possess a research record or
potential. ABDs nearing completion will be considered.
Terms of Appointment
Full-time, 9 month, continuing position.
